Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John Matthews as the Development & Construction Manager for the Group with effect from Monday 29 January 2024.

Mr. Matthews joins FHL with over 30 years’ experience in construction background, from civil and industrial infrastructure to high end commercial buildings and civic amenities. He has delivered numerous projects and has performed various roles, including both leadership and hands tasks in New Zealand and the South Pacific. His successful leadership is evident in Fiji whilst working for Fletcher Construction Fiji.

At Fletcher Construction Fiji, he led commercial projects for construction at the United States Embassy in Tamavua, the retail development and Golf Terraces in Denarau Island, the Westin Resort and Sheraton Hotel refurbishments amongst others. Furthermore, he has led the construction of civic amenities which includes Tamavua Bridge, Vatunawaqa Temporary Bridge, Namado Bridge, and the upgrades of Waila & Tamavua WTPs.

As the Development & Construction Manager for FHL Group, John will oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion in a timely and cost-effective manner for assigned FHL Group Projects.
