We are now looking for a results driven and highly motivated individual to join FHL as our Human Resource Manager. This position reports to the Group Head of Human Resources and will be predominantly based in Suva.

The role is primarily accountable for managing the FHL HR Operational plans, and actively partners with management to drive performance, outstanding employee experience for their team and to attract, develop and motivate the right people for the right positions.

SOME OF THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Manages the human resources functional operations and its service delivery to subsidiaries within agreed timelines and targeted results.
  • Provide timely and accurate consolidation of operational Group HR Quarterly Reports with identified key trends and recommended solutions.
  • Effectively participates in Strategic Planning and Review Meetings, Management Meetings and Group HR Meetings with agreed targeted key
    results achieved.
  • Coordinates and actively partners with management on the implementation and monitoring of organizational changes, projects and cultural initiatives.
  • Design and deploy training and reskilling programs that enables both employee development plans and business critical skill.
  • Manages the annual performance development, talent management review cycles, with active leadership from Subsidiary Leadership and Management.
  • Support the review of HR governance and compliance frameworks and actively drives its effective implementation.
  • Builds and nurtures effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote FHL and the Group as an employer of choice.
  • Drives the execution of annual compensation review cycles, contribute to budgeting and planning periods and actively contributes to the development of compensation activities, products and market reviews.
  • Drive the operational embedding of organizational values through Staff Engagement plans, processes and programs.
  • Proactively partner with management to coach and sustain a high performing & effective talent base with specified activities and timelines to
    achieve target key results.

TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in human resources, commerce, business or a related field along with a professional human resource qualification.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in successfully managing HR functions with demonstrated results organisational change, new
    business, refinement of talent tools and running HR operations.
  • Proven experience across various human resource disciplines such as talent and development, service delivery, performance, compensation, admin and projects with a comprehensive understanding of Employee Relations Act 2007.
  • Possess strong technological proficiency and have good practical experience with human resource software.
  • Possess sharp analytical skills; the readiness to adapt to new situations as needed; and flexibility in problem solving approaches.
  • Possess strong written, verbal and presentation skills with good negotiation tact and confidence to manage difficult discussions.
