Senior Broker

FHL Stockbrokers Limited is a wholly owned and licensed stockbroking arm of Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL). It provides brokerage services for securities listed on the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) and facilitates investment opportunities in both local and offshore markets. 

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Broker to join the FHL Stockbrokers Limited. This is a leadership opportunity for an ambitious professional with deep market knowledge, exceptional client relationship skills, and the drive to thrive in a fast- paced competitive environment. The role will be largely responsible for providing investors with broking services for securities traded in the local and offshore t markets, providing investors with sound and objective advice on the investment opportunities available in these markets based on market experience and knowledge. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager – FHL Fund Management Limited. 

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Drive achievement of allocated income and profitability targets through excellent delivery of stockbroking duties. 
  • Champion growth by actively identifying and securing potential individuals and institutional investors through targeted marketing and promotions of FHLS portfolio management services. 
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in handling all OTF (ANZ, CBA, BHP, etc) orders including settlement, FX rate calculations, and charges. 
  • Oversee shareholder funds in trust accounts ensuring timely and precise clearing. 
  • Uphold regulatory excellence by proactively complying with all requirements and escalating non-compliance issues to the compliance officer. 
  • Draft and collate operational reports, prepare board meeting papers, and coordinate Annual General Meetings. 
  • Lead, facilitate and simplify development, review and implementation of stockbroking best practises within the department. 

To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience at least of 2 to 3 years in a similar role 
  • A tertiary qualification of Degree in Accounting, Finance, Investment. 
  • Strong knowledge of broker code of conduct. 
  • Well verse with SPX and RBF requirements. 
  • Outstanding interpersonal and effective communication skills, with the ability to engage shareholders and deliver trusted investment advice.
  • Experience trading on electronic platforms or applicable systems, with adaptability to evolving business technologies.
